ABOUT OUR FOUNDATION
The Orchestre Symphonique Kimbanquiste was founded in 1985 during the height of conflict in the DR Congo. Led by Armand Diangienda Wabasolele and a small ensemble of instrumentalists, the purpose-during this time of adversity-was to unite the people of the congolese community through classical music. Today The Orschestre Symphonique Kimbanguiste consists of 200 congolese musicians-and have performed for over thousands of people at colosseums in various countries.
ABOUT THE ORCHESTRA
The orchestra consists of amateur musicians whom were all trained by Maestro Armand Diangienda Wabasolele. They perform an array of classical musical selections with a distinct African vibe.
